Absent: Bible Employees: LePage Guests: Lisa Bible, Paul & Andrew Whitman, Pauline Smith, Matt Post, Brenda Boyd, Danielle Slama. Public Comments on Agenda Matt Post asks what is this meeting is about? No law has been committed. Brenda Boyd has researched why the Village has a bulletin board? Says, the Boy Scouts built it for the Community. Andrew Whitman was present to speak for the Eagle Scout that built the bulletin board. He said he built it for posting Community events. Danielle Slama states that they have posted VBS on the bulletin board for 10 years and never had any problems. Agenda #1. Posting of religious or other non-Village materials on Village property and/or webpage(s). Discussion was held on the Church hanging the VBS poster on the Community Hall door and on the bulletin board. Johnson states that we need a Policy for what can and cannot be posted on Village Properties. If you allow the Church to post things, than you have to allow any organization to do the same. It was discussed who’s responsible for hanging the postings and making sure they do not remain for eternity. It was suggested that we get another bulletin board and have one just for Governmental postings and the old board could be for Community events within the Village of Bancroft. Barnum says he may be able to purchase an aluminum board from M.S.U. for a minimal cost. Motion Barnum Support Post Allow free space on the bulletin board, posting community events; within the Village, allow them to be posted for 30 days; they need to be dated, they cannot cover another posting, have to use thumb tacks or push pins. The board is to remain locked with new policy posted in corner, until new bulletin board is purchased. All Yeas MC Special Meeting minutes July 15, 2015 continued Pg 2 Agenda #2.
